The Day in Beauty, Vol. 20: Roses and Tea with Annick Goutal, and a Bouquet of Lovely Lavender - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hey, sweetie boo, happy Caturday! π It's a sun-shiney 24-hour interval in Novato today, and I'm upwardly bright and early on because babylove is all most that rolling over lifestyle. She figured out how to coil over, and now it's all she wants to do, and so she got up at vi for her morning meal and workout.
Practise you take whatsoever plans for the Fourth? We're thinking about driving up to Petaluma for the afternoon.
How was your week? Mine had a lot to practise with scents, first with those TOCCA hair perfumes, and at present with these 2 scents by Annick Goutal, which are kind of on the new-ish side.
Annick and I get waaaay dorsum. I get-go started wearing her perfume dorsum in 2005, I believe it was. It was on the whirlwind European backpacking chance when El Hub proposed. We were in France at the time, and fifty-fifty with my broke-downward loftier schoolhouse French, I still managed to buy the biggest bottle of Des Lys perfume (which was express edition), besides equally a SECOND fill-in bottle. WHA?? I know. The power of beauty compelled me, even across international lines.
I like Annick Goutal's scents considering they're normally low-cal and refreshing. I hateful, you know I dearest heavier, full-bodied scents in autumn and winter, but lighter scents are really squeamish when it's hot. When I'm perspiring, information technology seems to amplify whatsoever scent I'm wearing, and when I wear lighter scents, it doesn't overtake the room…
Rose Pompon is like a peppery peony rose (super dainty and feminine), and Fifty'Ile au ThΓ© (Oooh! My fave!) smells like a lemony iced tea with dash of sugar.
So freakin' adept.
Speaking of scents, you might've noticed this beautiful bouquet of lavander in the background. I picked information technology up the other day at Trader Joe'due south for $3.99.
I couldn't wait to get it home, just as shortly every bit I did go it home, I was similar, "What the heck am I gonna do with this at present?"
I put it in some water, but now I'm starting to rethink that strategy, because I have a lavender plant on my dorsum deck, and it absolutely hates being overwatered, then now I'1000 thinking that I should take it out of the h2o and let it dry. I dunno… If you have any feel with lavender, please hook a cat lady up.
In a little while I have to caput downwardly to Mill Valley in Southern Marin to run some errands, so I may stop past Nordstrom in Corte Madera to look at leggings.
I'thou on a leggings kick (Haha! Bad pun…) right meow, and I have my eyes on these by Zella (Zella!) to possibly wear with these cute coral Nikes (SO BRIGHT).
Love ya, babe! Have a wonderful residuum of your Sabbatum, and for my fellow Americans, happy Fourth to you lot. Will you be watching whatever fireworks or going to any barbeques?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
